1. Overview
UnitFresh ("we", "our", or "us") operates the UnitFresh Chrome Extension and website. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how our extension and web services collect, store, and use information when you install and interact with UnitFresh.
2. Data Collection & Usage
UnitFresh is designed with a privacy-first architecture:
- Local Storage Only: All auto-refresh interval rules, targeted URLs, and execution preferences are saved locally on your device via Chrome’s extension storage API.
- Account Information: If you choose to create an account for licensing purposes, we collect your email address and an encrypted password hash to issue authentication sessions and verify active instance seats.
- Zero Browsing History Tracking: We do NOT collect, monitor, track, sell, or analyze your browsing history, tab content, or online activity.
3. Chrome Extension Permissions
To provide auto-refreshing capabilities, UnitFresh requests specific Chrome permissions:
storage— To persist your refresh settings and account session locally.tabs— To trigger reloads on your designated active or background tabs.browsingData— To perform Deep Clean reloads (wiping cached assets, cookies, or storage upon explicit user request).offscreen— To run high-precision background timers when Chrome throttles inactive tabs.
4. Data Security
We implement industry-standard encryption protocols (HTTPS/TLS) for network transactions between the extension and our backend API. Authentication credentials are salted and hashed using secure cryptographic primitives.
5. Third-Party Sharing
We do NOT sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data with third-party advertisers or data brokers under any circumstances.
